Client was charged in a multiple defendant, multi-count, federal indictment alleging numerous counts of fraud and aggravated identity theft. Aggravated identity theft carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 2 years imprisonment, consecutive to penalty for fraud. Result - Government dismissed aggravated identity theft charges. Client pleaded guilty to fraud only. On 11/8/11 client sentenced to 5 years to be served on probation.
